Happy Chinese new year, everyone! Here's a quick painting that I whipped up in anticipation for the springtime. Lilies look so incredibly grand, particularly the ones large in size. I can't really buy into the "pure and gentle" symbolism that most people associate it with when I am staring at a flower the size of my face. The design is inspired by blooming tea and floral motifs, and painted in watercolor and gouache.
